Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with Israel's Noa Kirel sold out after 30 minutes

With demand for tickets through the roof, this year's event, to take place in Liverpool, features Kirel's 'Unicorn' written with previous Eurovision winning song-writer Doron Medley

Tickets for the finals of the Eurovision song contest, which will take place in the ACC conference center in Liverpool, were sold out within half an hour. Event organizers said on Thursday amid exceptionally high demand.

  • Ticket sales began on Tuesday, but those for both the semi-finals and finals of the popular contest were sold out in a space of 90 minutes.

    The first semi-finals concert will be held on May 9 and will include Israeli star Noa Kirel with her song "Unicorn" which she wrote with Doron Medley who also was also behind Netta Barzilay's "Toy," winner of the 2018 contest, as well as Maya Sfadia and produced by Yinon Yahel.

    The song is reportedly about woman's empowerment and includes some Hebrew words in the primarily English lyrics. "We've written a song I'm personally excited for," said Kirel.
    While Ukraine was originally supposed to host this year's edition, the event was moved to England because of the ongoing war that has been raging since February of 2022, when Russia invaded that country,

    Noa is beautiful and a Great Singer&Dancer
    I listened to the song and read the lyrics. I don't understand how it is about women and what a unicorn has to do with anything since unicorns are never seen as strong, brave or anything like it; in fact, they are shown as docile. I also wish that the song for Israel would have more Hebrew and something that makes it seem Israeli which it doesn't, it just sounds like another American song. I hoping Noa does well. Nobody can ever tell how Eurovision will go!
