The 23-year-old player, who spent the previous season on loan at Fulham, located in west London, will join the team as a free agent.
"I’m so delighted and excited to be joining this fantastic football club," Solomon wrote in an Instagram post with a photo of him wearing his new Spurs jersey. "It’s truly an honor to be here and I can’t wait to get started. To dare is to do!"
Solomon had been making an impact in the Israeli Premier League from the age of 17, before heading to Ukraine with Shakhtar in 2019. He was then able to join Fulham on loan due to a ruling by FIFA that allowed foreign players to suspend their contracts owing to the ongoing Russian invasion.
During his time with Fulham last season, Solomon showcased his skills, making 24 appearances and netting five goals. His impressive performance included scoring goals in three consecutive Premier League matches, as well as finding the back of the net in a Football Association Challenge Cup game. Such notable contributions led to his nomination for the Premier League's Player of the Month award for February.
On the international stage, Solomon has 35 senior caps for Israel to his name, scoring seven goals. He scored his first goal in Israel’s 1-0 win over Scotland in the UEFA Nations League in November 2020.
By joining Tottenham's roster for the summer, Manor Solomon becomes the club's third new acquisition. Prior to his signing, the club secured deals for James Maddison and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Additionally, Tottenham successfully converted the loan deals for Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro into permanent transfers. The club is actively strengthening its squad for the upcoming season with these strategic moves.
Tottenham is expected to play several pre-season matches. Next week, Solomon's new teammates will face their local rivals, West Ham, followed by a match against Leicester just five days later. On August 6, a friendly match will take place between Tottenham and Solomon's former team, Shakhtar Donetsk. Then, on August 9, Solomon will arrive at Camp Nou to face Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Trophy, an annual tournament hosted by the Catalan club since 1966.
