In October, shortly after the outbreak of Israel's Iron Swords war against Hamas in Gaza, a horrifying correspondence was published by the actress and star of the series "Manayek," Mouna Hawa, in which she denied Hamas' part in the massacres in the Jewish communities on the border with Gaza on October 7.

“There is no concrete evidence of rape or murder,” she wrote. “This is propaganda to gain sympathy," the actress claimed in a private conversation with a friend from film school that was revealed and added, "The audacity is indescribable. Hamas is not the Palestinian people who are being murdered right now. Palestinians have been dying for years, but suddenly you are concerned? Where have you been all these years?"
Hawa, who also starred in the first season of the popular series "Fauda," even argued in messages with the same woman: "Doesn't it concern you that Palestinians have been murdered all these years? Is it stupid that you are not aware that this whole situation is a direct result of the occupation? Of imprisoning people? Or what? And, in conclusion, do me a favor don't write to me if you don't like it."
On Sunday, the screening of the premiere episode for the new season of " Manayek " was held, and all the stars of the series arrived - except Hawa, who was not invited to the event. When Ynet asked the star of the series, Shalom Assayag, what he thought about her absence, this is what he had to say:
"I don't miss her. She wasn't invited because she expressed herself in a disgusting, disappointing way and expressed support for Hamas. I don't think we want people like that around us." Star Amos Tamam added: "I think that whoever takes - in the end during such a difficult time for the State of Israel - the side of people who were raped and robbed and murdered, it seems clear and justified to me that she is not a part of us. If the series had not been filmed before, it probably would not have been filmed for this season."
All the stars of the series, including Assayag, Tamam and Doron Ben David , even came to the festive premiere with a tag calling for the release of the hostages around their necks and the actor Michael Lahav went above and beyond and wore a shirt with the inscription "We are returning them home now," holding signs with pictures of hostages Omer Shem Tov and Idan Shtivi who have been held captive by Hamas for 108 days with over 130 other hostages.
