Israel is expecting its first major rain of the season starting Sunday after a surprise hail storm in the Western Galilee on Saturday.
Rain is forecast for coastal areas accompanied by thunderstorms that could also reach the northern Negev Desert and temperatures will drop below the seasonal average. Meteorologists warn of flooding in low-lying areas. More, stronger rain is expected on Monday.
By Tuesday, the rain is expected to stop and temperatures are expected to rise.
According to the forecast, temperatures will continue to rise on Wednesday as easterly winds will begin in the north, changing to northern winds later in the day, along the coast.
