After Israel's spring has sprung, winter makes a brief comeback

The Desert Negev city of Be'er Sheva saw heavy rains on Monday and elsewhere in the South, the showers threatened to cause floods in the desert ravines as heavy winds blew.

The winter weather which had been absent from Israel in the past weeks, was making a comeback if only for a short while during the unpredictable month of April.
Rain is expected across the country accompanied by winds and thunderstorms.

On Tuesday, the winter rains will also bring a substantial temperature drop by some 15°C (59° F) after most of the country saw 30°C+ (86° F) heat for the past few days.

Wednesday and Thursday will look and feel like winter and even snow is expected to fall on the peaks of Mount Hermon.
Spring will return on Thursday as temperatures will rise to ensure a pleasant weekend for nature lovers and protesters alike.
