On Wednesday, temperatures will rise significantly, leading to a severe heatwave with heavy to extreme heat stress affecting most areas of the country. In the morning, strong easterly winds will prevail in the north and mountains, while the night will see partly cloudy skies.
According to the Meteorological Service, temperatures in Tiberias and Eilat are expected to reach 104°F today, whereas in Lod they will hit 100.4°F, and in Tel Aviv and Katzrin, temperatures will climb to 98.6°F.
The intense heatwave will continue into Thursday, impacting most regions with ongoing severe heat stress. Strong winds are also expected throughout the day. By the afternoon, a cooler and more humid air mass will move into the region, bringing relief to the southern and possibly central areas.
Friday will see a noticeable reduction in temperatures, though it will remain warmer than usual in the mountains and inland areas. The day will be partly cloudy with potential haze, primarily in the south and east. By Saturday, a further cooling is expected, especially in the mountains and inland, where there might also be some light rain. The day will vary from partly to mostly cloudy, featuring high and medium-level clouds.
