This has led to a deep concern among leaders.
I am proud to say that Israel, a country that has suffered from years of drought, was well prepared for such an alarming reality, and does not suffer from any water shortage.
We achieved this through excellence in each and every sector, and today we have sufficient water for both domestic use and to supply to neighboring countries, all monitored by Mekorot, Israel’s national water company.
Since 2020, Mekorot’s innovation department collaborates with the Israeli high-tech community on company operations and holds equity shares in eight startups, which provide solutions for cyber threats big data analysis, and energy management.
We have become a one-stop-shop for any purpose and need - water treatment, hydrology and wells, integrated management, and command and control operational models.
These abilities help us reach new horizons; since the Abraham Accords were signed, Mekorot has begun working in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Morocco, and Azerbaijan, and doubled the water supplied to the Kingdom of Jordan. Mekorot is also active in Argentina, Cyprus, and India.
Our tested innovative solutions have established a platform for cooperation, and today we specialize in understanding and defining the guidelines for each country’s needs while drawing up customized consulting and supported services.
