The ship will be modeled after Disney's largest vessel, The Wish, and will offer a world-class family entertainment experience with favorite venues and experiences designed with Japanese guests in mind.
The ship will be constructed by Meyer Werft in Germany and will mainly do short-distance sailings around the Tokyo metropolitan area, carrying around 400,000 guests annually.
According to Fox Business, Disney's CEO Josh D'Amaro stated that "Japanese guests are some of our biggest fans, and we are incredibly excited to be able to bring our signature cruising experience to them for the first time."
