We have lift off: Air Haifa begins operations as Israel's newest airline

Air Haifa will launch operations with its inaugural flight to Eilat on December 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.; carrier will expand its routes to Athens and Larnaca, with more destinations planned for summer 2025

Air Haifa, the first airline to base its operations in Haifa, announced on Sunday that it will commence flights from Haifa International Airport on December 22, 2024, contingent on the security situation. The airline’s inaugural flight, from Haifa to Eilat, is scheduled to depart that day at 10:00 a.m..
Additionally, the company revealed plans to launch a new route to Athens, set to begin on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Ticket prices for the Athens route will start at $348 for a round trip (excluding checked baggage or carry-on luggage).

The Haifa-Athens route will initially operate five times a week (on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays), with flights departing Haifa at 9:00 a.m. and returning from Athens at 1:00 PM.
The airline will also operate three daily flights from Haifa to Larnaca, with ticket prices starting at $118 for a round trip. Additionally, two daily flights will be available to Eilat, with prices starting at 189 shekels for a one-way ticket. At the start of its operations, Air Haifa’s fleet will consist of three modern ATR 72-600 aircraft.

In a statement, Air Haifa announced: "To enhance accessibility to Haifa Airport for both departing and arriving passengers, a new Egged bus route, #100, will begin operating on December 22. This route will connect the Central Bay Station, Israel’s unique multi-modal transportation hub, directly to the terminal entrance at Haifa Airport.

The new #100 bus will run every 30 minutes, offering convenient, accessible, and cost-effective transportation for passengers arriving via Israel Railways, buses, Metronit (BRT), or the cable car system. Passengers departing from Haifa Airport are advised to plan their arrival at the terminal at least one hour and fifteen minutes before their flight."
Gonen Usishkin, co-founder and CEO of Air Haifa, stated the company plans to expand its list of destinations further ahead of the upcoming summer season.
