The Mount Hermon resort’s management team announced on Tuesday that the site will reopen to visitors next week, March 4, for the first time in about a year and a half.
The site has been closed under an order from IDF Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin and is classified as a closed military zone. "We are eagerly awaiting official approval from the Northern Command chief to reopen the site after two seasons of closure," the management said.

For now, the reopening will be limited to visitors only, with no skiing, due to significant infrastructure damage from the war including direct hits on two ski lifts. Repair efforts are underway with assistance from foreign technicians expected to arrive in the summer.

Visitors will have access to activities including a cable car ride, an extreme sledding attraction, a virtual reality "Sky Rider" experience and children's snow sledding.
"We're very excited to reopen Mount Hermon and welcome visitors," said site CEO Rafael Naveh. "However, we're facing major challenges, particularly in recruiting staff after such a long closure.
“We're doing everything we can to gradually return to full operations while maintaining the high level of service our visitors expect. Anyone interested in joining the Hermon team is welcome to contact us,” he added.
