United Airlines announced Wednesday that it will not resume flights to Israel until May 9.
"We continue to closely monitor the situation and will make decisions regarding all upcoming flights, focusing on the safety of our customers and crew," the company said in a statement.
The American airline, which operates a daily route from Tel Aviv to New York, canceled its flights to Ben Gurion Airport on April 19 following the Iranian attack and the widespread unrest from Iran.
On the night of April 13-14, Israel's airspace was closed for seven hours due to the Iranian missile attack. United Airlines, like other foreign carriers, subsequently announced that it was suspending all flights to Israel. The American company initially canceled flights until May 2, but now it is extending its suspension in Israel.
United Airlines resumed its flights to Israel on March 2, shortly after the outbreak of the war. It was the first American airline to do so, with Delta Airlines planning to return to Israel on June 7 and American Airlines announcing a return only in October.
