Air France delays return to Israel, and where do other airlines stand?

French flag carrier says extending suspension of flights to Israel through December 10; decision reflects broader disruptions affecting international airlines amid ongoing instability in region

Air France, the national carrier of France, announced Tuesday it is extending its suspension of flights on the Paris-Tel Aviv route through December 10.
Other airlines have also been delaying flights to Israel, as some won't return until the end of the year.

Azerbaijan Airlines canceled its Israel flights through November 25, while Latvia’s Air Baltic suspended operations to Tel Aviv until December 21.
British carrier Virgin Atlantic has delayed its return to Israel from March 2025 to October 2025, citing challenges in sourcing replacement parts for Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines used in its Boeing 787-9 fleet.
The Lufthansa Group, including Lufthansa Airlines, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings, has halted flights to Tel Aviv until at least December 15.
Spain’s Iberia Express has extended its suspension until January 31, 2024. Poland’s LOT Polish Airlines canceled flights to Israel through December 9. ITA Airways, Italy's national airline, which had briefly resumed flights to Israel, will now suspend them through January 12.
Spanish carrier Air Europa announced it will suspend flights to Israel until November 30. Greece’s Aegean Airlines extended its suspension through December 2.
American Airlines will not resume flights to Israel before late August 2025, extending its suspension from March 2025.

Transavia Airlines, a low-cost carrier, has canceled flights to Israel until November 30, while Bulgaria Air, which recently resumed flights, suspended them again until December 22.
The national airline of Seychelles has stopped flights to Israel through January 7, 2025.
British Airways announced it will not resume flights to Israel before April 2025. In response, Israir is planning four to five weekly flights to London’s Luton Airport starting November 17, with fares starting at $300 one way.
Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air extended its suspension until January 14, 2024. Meanwhile, TUS Airways has expanded its Israel operations, adding daily flights to Budapest, three weekly flights to Vienna and Sofia, two daily flights to Athens and Crete, and a third daily flight to Larnaca, Cyprus.
Turkish-Dutch airline Corendon Airlines has suspended its flights to Israel until further notice. Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair will not resume operations until January 2025.
Air India, the national airline of India, announced it would not fly to Israel before January 2025. Delta Air Lines, another U.S. carrier, said it would not resume flights to Israel before March 31, 2025.
United Airlines has suspended its Israel flights indefinitely, while Spain’s Vueling Airlines will not fly before January 12, 2024.
Croatia Airlines and Air Canada, which had planned to resume flights to Israel in October, have canceled those plans indefinitely.
Cathay Pacific will not return to Israel before March 27, 2025, while EasyJet plans to delay its resumption until April 2025.
Finally, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced it would not resume flights to Israel until at least the end of the year.
