Sundor will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the inaugural flight scheduled for March 31, 2025. Ticket sales opened on Wednesday, with an introductory fare for a "Lite" ticket, including a trolley and backpack, priced at $279 (1,018 shekels).
Members of El Al's Frequent Flyer Club will be able to earn and redeem points for these flights, in accordance with El Al's policies.
“Albania is a fascinating new vacation destination in the Balkans. It’s a small, Israeli-friendly country, ranked as one of the safest by Israel’s National Security Council," Sundor noted in a statement.
"The country offers a variety of holiday options, including luxurious beach vacations along the southern Riviera, hiking in the northern mountains and villages, shopping and fine dining experiences, historical cities and vibrant nightlife in the capital, Tirana," the statement read.
"Additionally, travelers can combine their Balkan trip with visits to neighboring countries — for example, flying to Albania with Sundor and returning from Montenegro or vice versa."
“We’re witnessing increased demand for flights to Balkan countries, which are known for great food, stunning landscapes and excellent value for money — qualities Israelis love," Sundor CEO Gal Gershon said.
"The new route to Tirana, Albania, will strengthen Israel’s ties with these countries and offer Israelis their favorite vacation experiences just a short flight away," he added.
