Sun d'Or, the subsidiary of El Al airlines, has released its flight schedule for the 2024-2025 winter season. This year, the company is launching a new winter destination - Lyon in France - especially significant for skiers. There will be two weekly flights to the city on Sundays and Thursdays, starting at $299 for a round-trip ticket. The first flight will take off on December 22.
"Lyon is located near the heart of the Alps, close to the leading ski resorts in France. The city offers a fascinating combination of culture, history and cuisine, and has become a particularly sought-after destination among Israeli travelers in the winter season."
Also starting in November, all Sun d'Or flights to Montenegro will land in the capital city of Podgorica, instead of Tivat, to bring Israelis closer to the sought-after ski resorts in the north. The price starts at $249.
In addition, following popular demand, Sun d'Or will increase its two weekly flights to three flights to Belgrade in Serbia, a destination that was launched last July. It will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The price starts at $229.
The other destinations of Sun d'Or this coming winter are: Thessaloniki (Greece) starting at $189; Batumi and Tbilisi (Georgia) costing $199 and $219 respectively; Chisinau (Moldova) starting at $199; Warsaw and Krakow (Poland) starting at $249.
"We are happy to announce our destinations for Israeli travelers that are also suitable for a winter vacation," Sun d'Or CEO Gal Gershon said in a statement. "Our destinations allow the Israeli public to travel for culture, shopping and cuisine, and still be close to ski resorts."
