AirHelp, a global giant in the field of air passenger rights, published its 2024 ranking for airlines. The company that reached first place for best airline is Brussels Airways, while Qatar Airways, which was ranked first last year, fell to second place. El Al, the leading Israeli flag carrier, is close to the bottom of the chart.
The ranking allows passengers to see, through the data, the level of service they can expect to receive from airlines. AirHelp holds an extensive database of flight data. This year's analysis ranked 109 of the world's leading airlines based on punctuality, customer reviews and claims handling, based on data collected between January 1 and October 31, 2024. This year, 36 airlines were added to the ranking, compared to 2023.
Brussels Airways came in first place with an overall score of 8.12, and received an especially high score of 8.7 in handling cases. Qatar Airways received a score of 8.11, and received an especially high rating in customer reviews with a score of 8.9. American airlines took third and fourth places: United Airlines and American Airlines, both received a score of 8.04.
Tunisair repeated its performance from 2023 and was also ranked this year as the worst airline with an overall score of 3.63. Tunisia's national airline fared poorly in handling claims, with a score of just 0.2. Polish carrier Buzz was not far behind with an overall score of 4.45 and an even lower score in claims handling, just 0.1. Tunisia's Nouvelair was ranked the third worst airline with an overall score of 4.48 and a similarly low score of 0.1 in handling claims.

El Al ranked 105th with an overall score of 4.6. The Israeli carrier scored 0.1 in claims, 5.7 in punctuality and 8 in customer reviews.
