Sun D’or will operate two weekly flights to Sitia on Crete on Mondays and Fridays, with prices starting at $199 for a round-trip light fare ticket. The first flight is scheduled for June 7.
Additionally, Sun D’or will operate two weekly flights to the island of Kefalonia on Sundays and Thursdays, with prices starting at $239 for a round-trip light fare ticket. The inaugural flight will depart on June 6.
"Kefalonia, located in northwest Greece, is a mountainous island whose beauty comes from a mix of green mountains and turquoise sea waters," the Israeli company said. "The island offers a variety of enchanting beaches for a relaxing holiday, alongside mountain hiking trails, stunning caves and authentic fishing villages."
The new destinations join Sun D’or's existing routes to Rhodes and Thessaloniki in Greece, Batumi and Tbilisi in Georgia, Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus, Warsaw and Krakow in Poland, Tivat in Montenegro and Chisinau in Moldova.
Meanwhile, United Airlines announced this week that it will not resume flights to Israel until at least June 5. The airline, which operates a daily route from Tel Aviv to New York City, initially canceled its flights to Ben Gurion Airport on April 19 following an extensive missile and drone attack from Iran.
