Arkia Airlines announced the expansion of its range of destinations for the spring and summer travel season. The full list includes 27 destinations: Amsterdam, Bucharest, Batumi (Georgia), Belgrade, Berlin, Barcelona, Salzburg, Tbilisi, Tivat (Montenegro), Larnaca, Paphos, Podgorica (Montenegro), Prague, Chisinau, Cologne, Rome, Athens, Crete, Mykonos, Pravesa, Kos, Corfu, Rhodes, Dubai, Zanzibar, Seychelles, Colombo (Sri Lanka).
"With the preparations for the spring-summer vacations and in addition to the varied flight schedule, it is useful to know another important fact," the company said in a statement issued on Wednesday. "Arkia is the only Israeli airline that allows vacationers to fly seven days a week, even on the Sabbath."
Arkia CEO Oz Berlowitz said that "we have noticed the growing need for Israelis to recharge through a short and near-by vacation. Arkia offers vacation packages to many different destinations. Travelers can choose the right destination for them, choose a vacation package, whether it's an organized trip or a direct flight, and start exploring the world."
Direct flight to a Czech spa town
Good news for spa enthusiasts. In about two months, a direct flight will be launched from Tel Aviv to Karlovy Vary, the most famous spa town in the Czech Republic. The new flight will be launched on May 23 and will include a weekly flight. It will be operated by Corendon Airlines using the A320 planes of its partner TUS Airways. Overseas Travel Bureau will launch ticket sales online using online ticket servers such as Kiwi, Kayak and Skyscanner.
The official announcement will be made in the Czech pavilion during the international tourism exhibition IMTM 2024 - International Mediterranean Tourism Market which will be held on April 3-4 at EXPO Tel Aviv.
Karlovy Vary, also known by its German name Carlsbad, is a well-known healing and resort town in West Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The city serves as the capital of the westernmost district of the Czech Republic, which has the same name, Karlovy Vary, and is located about 130 km west of the Czech capital, Prague. There are a dozen hot springs and many spas in the city. This destination is a favorite among Israelis who usually come to Prague and from there drive for about three hours to the pastoral town.
